Re First time homeowner tax credit...I am eligible for this and getting a loan in my name only but living there with my fiance who does not qualify. Based on this do I lose my ability to still qualify since our eventual marriage is pending?

Sandy, If your name is on the mortgage, and you are a first time home buyer, you get the tax credit.  It does not matter if you are married, single, or engaged.  You can move in anyone you want.  You are buying, and it is your first home.  So you are entitled to the credit.

Sandy, It does not matter if you are single, married, or engaged.  The persons whose name is on the mortgage paper gets the tax credit.  You can move in anyone you want.  If you buy the house as a first time home owner, you get the credit.
