Best time for buying a car

What is best time in the year to buy a car, considering the discounts towards the end of the year, and price drops at the begining of a new one?

I know of two "best times" to buy a car.

1.  The end of the year is a good time because everyone is out buying chrismes gifts, leaving car dealer lots empty, then the dealers cut prices.

2. July to October, around then dealers sell cars at low prices to clear space for    new car models.

Unfortunately, this questions is not specific enough to warrant a direct answer.  The best time to buy a car depends largely on your needs and wants in a vehicles.  For new cars, you can save the most money buying a vehicle that is not popular, and is at the end of its production cycle.  That  is when the highest rebates and supply bring prices to their lowest.  The end of the year and end of a month are also good times in their own right since salespeople, dealers and manufacturers are often pushing for their sales goals at those times.

The best times to buy a car:

The last 1 or 2 days before the end of the month (they have to meet their quota!!)

On a  rainy, snowy, miserable day, when most people want to stay at home...and, if you are really lucky, a miserable day close to the end of the month!! worked for me!!!!!!!!!
