I'm in two minds about this issue. My personal view about th Burka is that it's  oppressive to women. As far as I'm aware the Koran says nothing about the burka. It mentions women should dress respectfully and cover up. Now to me that means don't go around with your breasts hanging out, certainly  not  hide everything but your eyes.

From my limited knowledge Barbie  seems to be  a strong  image  to women , she's been a doctor etc. And the collection is very diverse and at times even controversial.  There is even a wheel chair Barbie which I think is great, In todays age disability should not limit you from achieving your  goals.  I  guess it depends on Mattel's reasons for creating the doll. Some women wear the Burka by choice which is fine, and I think the new doll is designed to help promote acceptance of other peoples cultures and beliefs.  There is also the Barbie with the more traditional veil dress.

As long as the Burka Barbie isn't shipped with a back pack and remote I don't think Mattel has anything to worry about!

Look at who you are talking of first, one of the largest auction houses in the country, and all are the elite and Bleeding Hearts that attend these money making events, not for the empty pockets, and they are more concerned with out of "Our Country's" poor or hungry kids........Oh yes Dear the thing that You MUST HAVE!

As for Sharia Law, they have never heard the word or what it means. Mattel Toys, they are the ones that should be boycotted...........
