Sex between two people is a private matter.
I think if you are old enough to have sex, then you will be ready to make the decision for yourself instead of asking your friends and perfect strangers.
If and when you decide you are ready to have sex, then I hope you will be intelligent enough to use protection throughout the whole encounter. That means that you should be on some form of birth control and your partner should use a condom every step of the way, not just when he's ready to come.
P.S. By virtue of the fact that you asked this question, and your choice of words in speaking of the experience; I say you are not ready. And just FYI, I lost my virginity when I was 16 - so I DO understand what you're talking about.
