In the movie "The Sting", Paul Newman's character tells Robert Redford's character that he's "a real horse's ass". When I first saw the movie, I was too young to understand the dialogues properly. I remembered that the phrase had something to do with "ass", and that it was not a compliment, so I was certain it was "asshole". My certainty was so strong, that even today, when I understand my mistake, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word "asshole" is Redford sobering Newman up in the shower.
