Do you think the U.N. resolution to send 26,000 peacekeepers to Darfur is a positive step? Do you agree? or do you think the situation should be handled differently?
I do believe this is a positive step. Although I must admit I really don't know all of the specifics, I think if this situation were to be handled any differently only diplomatic steps would be taken [which is better than nothing] and these don't generally get enough support from the people because they aren't as highly publicized as the miltary action that gets people going [not that the UN needs much support from the masses to continue]. If anything, the 26,000 peacekeepers have motivated people in other parts of the globe to be concerned.
