My guess would be 300 per month, therefore 3600 per year, but really it totally depends on the country, the culture and the individual.

What comes around goes around.

I think the answer to this question is WAY TOO MANY! haha

 That's why parents get so upset when they see cell phone bills and they finally realize how often their teens are texting each other.

per month i send 2000 so that means i send around 24 000 texts a year

Approximately 250 a day.
