I live on a gravel road and they only grade it twice a year so washboard becomes a real problem. I think it's the people who speed down the road as if it were paved that is causing the washboard effect. I have had to take one vehicle in for suspension problems and they said the washboard was tearing the car apart.
Is there any way to tell from the peak-to-peak what the speed of the offending drivers is on average?
...or better yet an easy way to get rid of washboard, if I don't own a grader? I could have oiled in the spring but it's expensive and no one else does it so it would only help right in front, but not the whole road.
