Lido, Those little icons are like "symbols", as if you didn't understand the language. For instance, there is the wheelchair symbol for handicapped people. You have seen the different symbols on doors for the mens and ladies restrooms. The envelope is a symbol for your incoming email, the trash can is a symbol for mail to be deleted, or thrown away, and so on. Look at each symbol for a minute and I am sure you will figure it out.
