What does the Output Differential Voltage Swing mean?
Single-ended voltage swing or VSGL is defined as a difference in amplitude when driving a logic-1 from logic-0 or vice versa. Single-ended voltage swing can be measured by looking in the scope using a single probe. Differential voltage swing or VDIFF is defined as V(+) - V(-). Figure 9 of the FAQ shows a picture of differential waveform definition. The voltage difference between the plus and the minus inputs is the input differential voltage. The difference between the plus and the minus outputs is the output differential voltage. Peak-to-peak differential voltage is calculated as VDIFF when driving a logic-1 minus VDIFF when driving a logic-0.
