If this is a universal remote, check to see if it will turn on another device. If it does, then we know that the remote works. Can I be sure that you checked the batteries? Check your tv to make sure that nothing is blocking the “reader eye” and that it is clean. If it still does not work you may simply need to re-program the remote with the proper device code.
