What are my taxes going towards and why do I have to pay them?

I may be young but i can answer this! Your taxes are going towards the war in Iraq. Your taxes help pay for the costly expenses. Your taxes may also go to new things around your community. ( Taxes pay the government, pretty much i think. ) You pay them only if you want some where to live and new things in your area and in the U.S.
