Can a location of a tattoo on the body say anything about the person owning it? What would you recommend as a good place to have one?

I think some people can be freaked out by tattoos on the face, head, full body...I'm sure they assume things.  I say: to each his own!  I personally only have one on my ankle, a dragonfly.  Someday I may get another: either on my breast, shoulder, or other ankle but we'll see when that day comes.  Recommend, hmm...I think for men tattooing on the inside of the arm between the wrist and elbow (inner forearm?) is popular lately.  I know someone who has one and he loves it because it's not so noticable when he's at work (business job).  My hubby has an old one on his back (shoulder blade area), his old dog.  I guess you can't go wrong w/ the standard tattooing of the arm.  For women, I'd recommend the areas I mentioned above that I would like to get.  Oh, I've heard people talking about girls w/ the tattoo on the back right above the butt...tramp stamp.  Whatever!  We should just get to know people before we assume things about them.  Too bad people can be closed minded at times.  I'm sure managers/business owners assume things a lot when they are interviewing, it depends on the job I suppose.  Good luck w/ your tattoo!

Do you think there are other locations on our body that can cause such  a concept like "tramp stamp"?

No, I don't think so. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter what ANYONE says. The only person to make the decision about a tattoo is you. Like cindyjmd said, people are going to think what they want. All that matters is what you think. In the beginning, tattoos were mostly only seen on bikers, gangs, etc...(basically, rough people), and they were looked down on and sometimes even feared. But with the way things are today, tattoo's and body peircings are common place. Yes, there's still people who look at them the way they did back then, but those people are few and far between. I say, your never too old to express yourself. Life is to short, have fun and live your life for you. I recently got a "tramp stamp" and I absolutely LOVE IT, and I'm 40 yrs. old!! As far as location for a guy, the shoulder blade, inner forearm, upper arm and chest are all good spots. I for one think the upper arm band is sexy on a man. anyway, good luck. MJ.

{Insert Catchy Phrase HERE}

Certain tattoos carry certain meanings in certain places, especially on men, but the list of those tattoos is short.  Recently spiderwebs on the elbows have become very popular, but the old meaning of that tat was that you'd spent time in jail for the murder or beating of a minority as a member of a white supremist group...look up your tattoos before getting them :)
