Is there a difference between the taste of chickens and the taste of roosters?
We eat both chickens and young roosters, most of the time without even knowing. There is a slight difference though, as the rooster's meat tend to be "gammy".
hens and roosters are both proccessed thru the food chain. have never noticed any difference and have never bought chicken that was gender specified.
would you please define "gammy?"
Rooster meat is a lot tougher is what gammy means.
