A:

Tanning can have risks for anyone at any age.  the natural sun is worse than a tanning bed but there are still risks with a tanning bed.  Do much research to answer this question to your satisfaction.

If you do choose to tan, don't rush it and never be over exposed, that risks are much higher for someone who has been sun burned.  Moisturize, Body Drench is great stuff, use it a few times a day and after showering.  Never shower before 2 hours after tanning and never tan before 1 hour after showering.  it can result in no tan.  Use a good tanning lotion, if in a tanning bed use indoor lotion only.  Start out 5 mins a session for a few days with step one lotion, then after 4-5 days go to 10 mins, then start using step two lotion, do not use anything with tingle factor or T followed by anumber until you have a good base tan, this is for experienced tanners only.  Then start to go to 15 mins then to the maximum 20 mins per session, remembering to not shower too close to sessions and keep moist skin, use lotion after showering and after tanning and when you put on your tanning lotion don't use sparingly, make sure you put it on even and enough to do some good.  Best of luck.  Happy tanning.
