could this 'swine flu' have been genetically engineered? i see it ia acombination of bird, human, and swine-- since it seems to have gotten its start in Mexico -- could it have been the drug cartel there that paid for a killer flu biological attack??? i know this sounds farfectched

Hello

It's very possible to genetically engineer a deadly virus. But why would a drug cartel unleash something like that in their own backyard and infect their own people? They have nothing to gain and everything to lose by doing that. I don't see any terrorist organizations like al Qaeda targeting Mexico. It would be foolish to launch a biological attack anywhere in the world because it could quickly spread around the globe due to air travel.
