Not sure what comes next

My mother is a 73 year old female and she had a CT scan done and the doctor reported back to her that she has a non calcified pulmonary nogel in her right lung? I want to know what does this mean and how can I help her deal with this and what do I need to do as daughter? She will see her doctor tomorrow and they will talk about this in more detail. She was also told that it is about 1 cm in diamater.

One way the lung can fight something foreign, or bad, is by walling it off, making it isolated.  You say this is not calcified.  So, it may be something active going on right now.  She probably has blood tests ordered to check for infections.  There is no way to know if it is non serious or serious with just this one fact. The good thing is that medicine usually has lots of options.
