Before making any changes to your policy, be sure to contact an agent or insurance company that does medigap in your area and make sure you can be medically underwritten for a medigap F policy. You can only enroll in medicare advantage in certain parts of the year, and if you disenroll and cannot be underwritten you might be left with original medicare only until the next AEP which would allow you to enroll starting Jan 1 of the next year. Also, you might want to look into alternative Medicare Advantage plans in your area. I know in the Tennessee area most of the MA plans do not have deductibles, but do have copayments on services and some also have part d coverage built into them. They can be different in every town though, so it is hard to tell without knowing your location.
You did not give your age but there are certain periods where you would be eligible for guaranteed issue of a medigap policy, specifically one that happens right when you turn 65.
