Any suggestions on parenting time?

Any recommendations on Parenting Time for a 2yr old and a 15month old? Right now we are doing the week on week off, and that is not by my doing, I for sure want him to see his kids but this arrangment is not working and we go for mediation, and I would like some info if anyone has had some experience with visitation for young children. Their father lives 2 hours away, so I know some overnights will happen. I was thinking every 2 weeks he gets them 4 or 5 days...any suggestions?

When trying to determine your shared parenting time schedule, remember that although your children are not of school age (k-12) yet, once that happens your parenting time will likely be adjusted if not considered from the onset.  I currently share custody and we have 1 mid week day from after school until after dinner, alternate every other weekend & holidays.  This works because we live 20 min apart.  You may want to consider trying it by the first weekend of the month and the last weekend of the month from Friday to Sunday. You would also want to put a time in that schedule to say( EX: Pick-up Friday...5pm and return Sunday 7pm).  We did not consider school when we first chose our parenting schedules or school holidays...etc. and we spent a lot of extra money returning to court several times for adjustments.  Also there should be flexibilty to any schedule, as things arise that my affect an in place routine.

Cool Equal justice for All

The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

That all depends on your attorneys who are involved and the judges decision. Unless thetwo of you with attorneys present agree on a visitation retune that you can both live with or the courts will have the final say on it.
