I have been working for an engineering firm for some time now as a consultant, reducing our CO-2 emissions and recovering CO-2 from the air.  It has become a minable resource.  Linde, AIRCO, and two dozen other major firms have been extracting CO-2 from the air for the last fifty years or so on an industrial scale.

Why?

Chances are that the gas in your cook top started out as CO-2 in your community.  2/3 of the methanol in your gas pump is converted from methane like that we put in your home for cooking, heating, hot water, and in some cases, lighting.

It cleans up the air and creates fuel at the same time.  The thing is, "green" thinking is always so out of step with reality that there is no practical good in it and there never will be.  Long decades of bitter hard experience have taught us that one leftist in a position of trust is enough to put everyone out of work permanently and will destroy each and every benefit we worked so hard to earn.  The problem is that old and that bloody serious.

Worse yet, leftists go to college and think that they get good ideas from their teachers, only to find that they are in very serious violation of existing and properly enforced patents.  Worse yet, "green" people have a nasty tendency at indistrial espionage.  There is too much riding on the international and orderly application of CO-2 reduction technology to allow misguided leftists to sabotage the whole program because they misunderstand it!

That costs the overly-tense and ignorant leftists everything, and slows down the actual remedy currently hard at work saving us from the last hundred years of pollution.

That is one of many very good, proven, and convincing reasons why no "green freak" will ever become part of the solution: they always sabotage the work because of their mindless hate of anything industrial.
