I can't answer you if you don't believe in creams.  But I did cut my thumb off and they recomended coco butter and even though it is still a bad scar no one notices because it tans now and looks the same shade as the rest of my skin.  I'd say skin grafts cause I had on of thoes on my hand too but it still burns  with too much sun or if I use cleaning chemicals around the house.  My skin graft burns first no matter what. But my scar looks okay most don't even notice it and it is bad...very bad
