How to stop Dog pooping on my yard

Yes you can. If you know for a fact that it is your neighbor's dog doing it,call them and tell them to come over and clean up the poop when their dog goes in your yard. If they refuse call the authorities and file a littering complaint against them. Dog poop is litter and should be cleaned up by the offending dog's owner.

Have you tried fileing a complaint with the city? First find out whose dog it is. Either by noting who walks the dog or taking a picture when you see him in  your yard pooping. This you can show the cops. Then talk to the owner and file a complaint. Also go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some gralualated god repellent. You can spread it around your yard and plants. Finally clean up the poop as soon as you see it to discourage him and remove the dogs scent. Good luck.

I solved that same problem by posting a BIG sign saying "Danger, rat poison scattered on lawn" then passing out flyers to all the neighbors "warning" them that we are sprinkling poison on our grass and in our bushes to kill the rats coming in from the desert.  Worked like a charm!

You should get yourself a dog and walk him every day. Then after that, you wont feel so bad when another dog poops on your front lawn knowing your dog probably pooped on their lawn some where down the block...

Get an air soft rifle. Air soft rifles use plastic pellets. It is used in air soft games and shot at people as part of the game, so it will not kill the dog but will sting him when he gets hit.  When shooting at the offender be sure to put weapon in automatic, then pull the trigger, spray and pray. This will discourage the dog and the homeless  from using your lawn as a restroom. Hope this helps, but if it doesn't at least you have the pleasure of hearing the dog yelp as he does his business on your nice lawn.

Shooting a dog with even just an air soft rifle pellet isn't a good idea, and it's unlikely to go over well with most of the neighbors (even the ones who don't own dogs). 

Build a fence.

As a Dog owner I am extremely careful of where he "does his business" and ALWAYS clean up after him. If there is a sign in the yard requesting no dog defecation it is totally respected.  Point being -the dog is doing what needs to be done- the OWNER walking the dog IS THE true ISSUE.  I would suggest speaking to the offending owner, however if that does not work I would research other avenues available (such as local law).  As a side note I truly hope the “pellet gun” responder was in jest, however in the off chance they were serious I pity them.

First videotape the owner letting his or her dog poop on your lawn without picking it up. Then speak to the owner and ask them NICE AND POLITE to please stop letting their dgos poop on your lawn. If it continues, file a complaint with the city, especially animal control. See if you can determine when the walk their dog, most people do so on a schedule.
