I have stocks with Franklin Templeton and we don't know whether we should hang in there or get out. We have lost almost half of what we invested. Help, help.

If you have mutual funds with franklin templeton you should not sell now. You will lose too much money.  As soon as this economy improves the funds will go back up and you will get back your money. You will need patience since it may take up to 8 years. If you are young enough it is probably a good time to buy since there are so many bargains out there.  Warren Buffet just invested billions in GE and Warren Buffet never loses money.
