Technically? It's next to nothing, you open an account on Blogger or Wordpress or whatever, it isn't much harder than opening an account on Yedda, and start blogging.

If you're asking more about how to make the blog work well, there are a few places to where you can get excellent advice, like problogger. I think it was discussed on Yedda too, you can do a search on that.

I highly recommend you go with http://vox.com although Blogger, Typepad, Wordpress and LiveJournal are all also well-knowns that work well. Vox is FREE, seems fun and energetic and easy to use and has a lot of options. You could also try creating your blog at http://weebly.com and that would let you easily add YouTube videos, Flickr photos and such to your blog. Feel free to contact me if you need more info. http://squarespace.com is also NICE in design, but NOT free, which I think is the key if you are starting from the basics and want to see if it works for you. I'm on http://tribe.net, which is great if you are looking to blog AND have a social network and a place to show photos, videos, etc. for free - I love it. Check mine out at http://people.tribe.net/ecrivaine32 Glad to help!

Why No To Wordpress.com

Once i start my some of forums & blogs for example
www.honeytech.wordpress.com
in free host/service like wordpress.com but what i get out of my hard work?
though i get more than 300000+ visitors in few months but alas i can’t earn even a single penny out of this coz i’m not authorized to put adds on it ,any how i hacked to put so then result was the banned from the services. The whole thing was so pain so i restart my blog on private host.

Though is must say that” guy’s over wordpress are so generous & kind that they always restore my blog on behalf of requests”. So i would prefer that every one should blog on private hosted blog the cost of this will be near less than you earn from adds out of it.Now i earn $4-$6per day out of adds.

Two websites to start a blog: blogger and wordpess

Blogger is easy to use. The registration is fast and you can change the meta tags to increase your visibility in search engines. Posting an entry with links in blogger requires html tags

unlike in wordpress. wordpress has more professional-feel template and no need of mastering the html codes, everything you need is on their "create new entry" plate.

Now to directly answer your question: Start your blog with juicy contents that everyone can relate to. If you love to write, try writing a how-to article of 400-500 words. And after writing, attach an attractive image or worth-watching videos to your post.
