Usain "Lightning" Bolt from Jamaica won the gold medal in the 100 meter (in world record 9.69), gold in the 200 meter in an Olympic record and was on the Jamaican 4 x 100 meter relay which easily won the gold medal at the Beijing Summer Olympics. Sprinters are amazing athletes who struggle through many injuries to achieve success. I know, many think it is Michael Phelps-kudos to him for all those gold medals but I'm going with Bolt.

Anyways I say Myron Rolle, he won the Rhodes Scholarship and is a great safety for the Florida State Seminoles. This guy is an amazing role model for kids. You have to respect this guy.

Michael Phelps in no question is the best athlete of 2008. His feat in the Olympics will be set for a long long time. i do not think anyone can achieve this feat for another 25 or more years. My second choice "lightning Bolt" from Jamaica who won the gold mdals in track. My 3rd choice is Rafael Nadal of Spain. he had a great tennis year!!!
