Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Be wise

absolutely, I am a christian and there is a tremendous difference in every aspect of my life since I started walking daily with God...the great thing is i don't consider myself a mature christian yet so i just cant imagine the peace that is to come!

I remeber reading some article a few years back in which some economist measured the amount of happiness people had in their life and put a money value of it per year. If I remeber correctly, living  spiritual \ religious life came in third place after having a good spouse and having a good family.

Maybe it's because of my choice of friends, but in my experience, most people I know who turn religious were not at all happy but tried to convince everyone they were.

Happiness is the realisation of God in the heart, happiness is the result of praise and thanksgiving, of faith, of acceptance; a quiet tranquil realisation of the love of God. This brings to the soul perfect and indescribable happiness. God and Jesus in happiness.

Blessings

We are spirit in bodies, and if being spiritual means being in touch with that - then yes, it makes me very very happy indeed.  To actually See the wonder of everything is very happy making.  When you feel the word/logos/primordeal vibration (the isness) of everything in your life, it sure makes living very interesting, and one is able to listen to that which is inside of oneself and have a great handle on what direction is best for you to go.  I would say it is very empowering to be in touch with your spirit self.  After all it is the part you take home with you.

Not at all.  I find happiness in giving my life meaning, hope, and value, and in all honesty I don't need religion for any of that.

There is a difference between being relegious and being spiritual, and being spiritual is the only way to be happy. Being spiritual allows you to recognize miracles(or miraculous things)that you would take for granted otherwise, and it connects you to god no matter what you think that is.

No, I mean being Catholic is great and all, but I don't think it makes me happier.  But it does make me a better person.
