Spanish and Italians have a different attitude to sleep than others. Does Sleeping to revitalise ourselves depend on nationality, age, where we live, and other factors? Andre

I don't quite understand your question. Your age could definitly affect the amount of quality sleep you get, and if you live in Alaska, where you have 6 months of sunlight and 6 months of darkness, that could certainly affect your sleep patterns trying to adjust to 24hrs. of one or the other, or if you live next to a busy freeway or near an airport, that could affect your rem sleep if you're a lite sleeper.

But as far as nationality affecting your needed amount of sleep or the quality there of, I've never heard or read of any such difference.

The human body regardless of nationality or ethnic background requires the same amount of restorative sleep each night as the next body.

Just how do you mean that the Spanish and Italians have different sleeping habits then the rest of the world? I don't understand that part. Please clarify.

Happy Valentine's. Play us a rose, you're organic, man.

Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.

It is widely debated whether the cave man or Homo bawdhabilis was responsible for the invention of sleep. The most remarkable thing about this occurrence is that neither of these groups had TV or boring books. (GOD, is His wisdom forestalled the invention of these items so that man could follow His command to be fruitful and multiply. -Excerpted from Ideas Yet to be Published .) Be that as it may, neither group was wide spread, so that sleep, generically speaking, started in a small space and was carried all over the world as man spread. Just like fleas, Tupperware, and iPods.

I always get excited when I am able to share my soon to be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt theories about sleep.

Jay, you ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!! But I don't think SLEEP was an INVENTED behavior, rather a NECESSARY one, to give the body time to rejuvenate and for the cells in the body to regenerate themselves and keep the body alert and healthy and functioning properly.

Your input is always without suprise!!! Nonfactual, but interesting!!!
