Can't get any sound when using my dvd recorder with a comcast dvr hooked up

Once I stalled the Comcast DVR, I could no longer record DVD's from television(cable.) My DVD Recorder (outputs) is hooked to my TV (inputs)with RCA cables. I used S-video to connect the DVR (output) to the DVD (input). When I got ready to record from a TV program I used my DVR remote to set the source to S-Video. It recorded the picture just fine, however, no sound. HOW CAN I GET THE AUDIO?

audio and video drop outs again

I have had a PVR since they came out with Shaw, and the problem of audio and video drop outs that Fox was bad. I'll try Detroit next. I talked to a Shaw tech and he told me that Cancom upgraded much complaining here it seems like I am not the only one to have this problem. Just hope this tech
