How do I get a song I've written copyrighted? Email the answer to smlsurvivor1@aol.com, or rosie_rabbit88@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Aspiring Artist
Put the written song with a C.D or tape in an envelope, seal it ,then sent
it back to yourself via registered mail...AND DO NOT OPEN
KEEP IT ON FILE for any later questions
There's no reason to. You can claim legal copyright as soon as you put your song to paper or record.
Go to the Library of Congress website at www.loc.gov. Click the "Publishers" link. You will then see a link for "Copyright Registration". That link will give you all of the information needed to register your recordings as well as the forms necessary to do so.
