This song was on a 1950 album called Bawdy Songs & Backroom Ballads, Vol. 3 .

I've heard lyics follow the basic sound of the song and almost lock in with the guitar. I've heard lyics follow the drum beat. I've heard the voice used like an instrument on it's own doin vocal follows the rhythm of the rest of the song. Apart from that, the lyrics are pretty independent
