Interesting question. I'm not sure it would work under Wine, I didn't use this emulator lately but I've heard it's gone a long way recently. It's probably worth trying. I would simply use Gaim or aMSN.

firstly, it's "crossover" not crossfire. and some people prefer WLM over the linux messengers, they tend to be a little confusing to set up and you cannot customize them in nearly as many ways and WLM. Currently you cannot have WLM just run, not even with the emulator software, particularly because it requires the .NET framework, there is a linux version of this available called MONO, but there is still a lot of work to be done like hex editing files and what not. i dont personally know how to do this but if you google enough you might find something.

Sorry Corssover then if thats a case go back to windows. or use there online version.

MS will not bring a good messeger out for linux cos it will move people to linux.

And sorry but i have had WLM installed and lounched on linux to just will no talk to the messenger servers.

Linux is a free and easy peace of kit and the messeger i said to use is not just a linux messenger is linux windows and mac.

MS is MS and linux is linux you don't see Mac users keep asking for WLM
we get what comes.
Linux is good at what it does but eye candy WLM will never be fully used in lunx as well its not even a linux like program is would never fit.

And Amsn can be customize its the closist thing to WLM there is!

So don't give me the first call bull.

Coming and complaing is just shit man he was asking how to get it or maybe a way to still use WLM options what Amsn as. S
