Is it possible to book a guide to certain museums ...

is it possible to book a guide to certain museums so that one gets expert guidance for specific areas of the museum. For instance I would like a guide to the Egyptian rooms in the British museum?

I can't speak specifically to the British museum. Most museums don't actually have guides, but the better museums usually have some kid of recorded guide that you take around with you.
