Ventilation is important to clean out the smell. Afterwards, you can use odor eliminating candles that contain an all-natural ingrediant that encapsulates the odor molecule and destroys it. This will get rid of almost all the smell. One that Cuban Crafters provides was specially formulated for smoke odor. It will do the trick and provide a pleasant scent in the interim. Once the fragrance's scent is gone, so will the smell of burned food. You can see these

pillar candles at Cuban Crafters' website.

Ventilate, ventilate ventilate...

If possible, leave at least two airways open at all times.

Remove all burnt parts, and wash or even discard the really hopeless bits.

You might have to re-paint.

After several days, if not weeks, of ventilation, you can start using scented candles or deodorizers.
