I have a small bump near the outside of my vagina ...

I have a small bump near the outside of my vagina and near my anus, inbetween the two. When I touch it, it is quite sore. I can almost pinch it up between my fingers, and it feels like a perfectly round ball.

When I looked it up on Web MD, it said it could be a boil, but it also said that if it is near your anus to call a doctor... Is this dangerous, whatever it is? I am so worried :(

if it hurts it is probably a boil, a wart wouldn't hurt, rather than worry just get thee to a clinic.

hi of course there is reason to be concerned, but what is good is that you have found the problem willing to ask for help and don't  let fear stop you from obtaining proper gynecological or medical care in this area. most of all do it now.... your worry may be naught so please relax until you find out what the problem is.  take good care.....

Dream big, and reach for the stars!

What you have is a sebaceous cyst.  It may feel like a rock in there.  It is caused by a hair gland getting blocked.  If the doctor were to take the ball out, it will look cheesy, almost like cottage cheese.  If it does not hurt or bother you, you can leave it alone.  However, sometimes they do get infected.  The best thing is to have it removed.  It grows inside a sac, so the sac has to be removed also, otherwise it may grow back.  Your doctor can do this in his/her office.  It is very simple to remove.  I have had more than one removed.  Once you get one, you are more likely to get another one some day.  But it is not serious.  Go get it removed and forget about it.

Blondie,

Your Toughest competitor lives in your head, some days his name is fear, or pain,or gravity. Stomp his ass.

It is a boil, thats what it is, it is caused by a infected hair folicle. All you have to do is put hot compresses on it and once it pops and all the pus comes out you will feel better. Just wet a wash cloth in hot water as hot as you can take it and hold it on there and keep doing it until it pops and then get some triple antibiotic cream at the drug store and put it on there until it heals.
