The Bartholin glands are located at the entrance to a woman's vagina, one on each side. They are small and cannot be seen or felt when they are normal. Their function is to secrete fluid onto the mucosal (inner) surface of the labia—the liplike skin surrounding the vagina.

Problems with the Bartholin glands include cysts, which are relatively painless enlargements of the gland, and abscesses, which are infections of the gland. Typically only 1 of the 2 glands is affected.

You should not fool around with this. Go to the Doctorbefore it turns into something serious. Something like this in nothing to fool around with.

What you have is a sebaceous cyst.  It may feel like a rock in there.  It is caused by a hair gland getting blocked.  If the doctor were to take the ball out, it will look cheesy, almost like cottage cheese.  If it does not hurt or bother you, you can leave it alone.  However, sometimes they do get infected.  The best thing is to have it removed.  It grows inside a sac, so the sac has to be removed also, otherwise it may grow back.  Your doctor can do this in his/her office.  It is very simple to remove.  I have had more than one removed.  Once you get one, you are more likely to get another one some day.  But it is not serious.  Go get it removed and forget about it.

In The MeanTime, Try a Hot Water Compress On It **if you can Bear It** If it's A Blocked Folicle it May Make it Go Away on it's Own by Helping it Drain **Hence the Hot Compress***. Do NOT TRY AND POP IT!!!!

We have the same Question, and it is almost in the middle of my Wife's Anus and Vagina, Adding the fact that she is Pregnant and We worry about losing our first child, As I'am sure many other's are, We have assured that it is not just a pregnancy Hemorrhoid,as it has gone away for now we fear it's return and problems, any Idea's yet on what it could be????  :/ ?
