Usually about 5, but every weekend I spend half a day in bed, which sorts of makes up for being tired most of the week.

I am really " the special case" - my former profession as a professional military officer and later, database administration manager with frequent night shift changed a lot. i need about 5-6 hours during 24 hours, but not necessary during the night.

Not to mentioned, that night is the best time to think about universe, check www or write the book or article( when the whole family finally quiet :)))

3 maybe 4 hours at a time.  and about 40% of the time my sleep is aboutl 2 to 3 hours.  it has been like this for as far back in my life as i can remember.  tried drugs but as soon as my body get used to them i am back to 3 to 4 hours a night.  i have learned that this has done bad things to my life.  i do not smoke cig's or  take any drugs, given by a doctor or the guy down the street.  as for adult drinks, yes, only at dinner or sometimes at a special event.  just in case you think "ya sure" i have not had an adult drink for over a month. (i have no money) and what i drink cost alot.  it would be nice to sleep just 6 hours, but alass it is not to be.  sweet dreams?
