Use a cleanser for sensitive, oily skin.  Dove makes a great foaming one for oily, sensitive skin as does Aveeno.  You will need a stronger cleanser in the summer to get rid of the excess oil.  Here is a article on how to lighten up your skincare and makeup in the summer months:  http://www.prettybycritty.com/blog/critty/posts/88-summer-s-coming-how-to-lighen-up-your-look

Hi there Shazimalik,

I was invited by Yedda to answer your question.

I am writer and co-founder of Men Skin Care Tips

For people with oily skin, it is important you follow a skin regimen. Doing so will greatly reduce your oily face appearance.

For this you need the following, and use them in the order provided:

Face Wash (look for one that is specifically made for oily skin)

Face Scrub/Exfoliator (a must for people with oily skin)

Astringent (a must for people with oily skin)

Moisturizer (look for one that is specifically made for oily skin)

Apply this skin care routine daily in the morning and at night, I am sure you will have an oil free face!

For great skin care products for men and women I would recommend Beauty.com.

Hope this helps! Take Care,

Victor A.

if you look carefully in most stores, you will find cleansers that say for "OILY SKIN" only.

Use natural product that rich in apple cider vinegar because it helpts to remove excess oil and dirt, soothe your skin, and promote optimal ph balance to your skin. Anyway, having sleep at night and stress also reasons for having a bad skin...

What you think about you bring about!!!

As others here have stated, you have to treat oily skin as 'sensitive' skin; my dermatologist told me this years ago and I was amazed as I'd never thought of it that way.....He recommended Dove and I was surprised; Dove? with 1/4 cleansing creme, for oily skin????? he said yes, it is a detergent (not a bad word!!) and it cleans, then rinses off in a flash, & he had patients with both dry and oily skin whose skin really benefited from it.......you must also use, as someone else here said, something slightly acidic after you rinse off your cleanser.....you could use, as they said, apple cider vinegar, DILUTED BY HALF!! or easier yet, plain old Witch Hazel; and always the store brand.....put it in a little 3 oz spray bottle and after you rinse off, spray some on your inside fingers and apply all over your face....you MUST moisturize, just use those made for oily skin....I find plain old Baby Lotion (again, the STORE BRAND; those dollars add up!!).....to exfoliate, again, SAVE YOUR MONEY & just use BAKIN SODA>>>>>>>>pour some in your palm, add a few drops of water at a time to from a paste, and gently massage over the face, starting with your forehead...keep your forehead relaxed....then down the rest of the face....do this 2 or 3 times, then rinse rinse rinse with COOL, NOT cold water.......then blot dry and apply your moisturizer; again, either baby lotion or cocoa butter......see how much money I'm saving you?? haha....

Again, you DO NOT have to spend a lot of money on skincare!!!!!!!

If you follow these steps, you will, as you get older, have great looking skin!!
