Give the sidewalks and parks back to pedestrians

Dear folks at yedda,

a few weeks ago I voiced my concern about bicycles being ridden on the sidewalk. I mentioned a horrific incident when a baby was killed by a moped. that baby would be just as dead if killed by a bike.

since that tragic event, an outcry from the community to ban the mopeds fell on deaf ears. Instead the commonwealth of  Pa. opted to licence, tag and insure these veacles.

     i strongly suggest that the same should hold true for the bikes. I also feel that the laws that are on the books should be stricktly inforced and tickets given to the scoflaws

my question, What is the point of having laws that no one obeys and no one enforces?
