What's a nice girl like me is doing in a place like this ?

What kind of shoes do you wear on the rainiest city in the world?

I was going through the London metblogs and I have encountered a fact that made me wonder. Lately you can see many people walking with flip flops in the rain (as written in the blog), and it made me wonder what do the inhibitors of the rainiest cities of the world (which are really tropical and poor areas!) use as shoes?

I have been to Meghalaya (one of India’s western provinces) which is the rainiest place on earth. The poor are bare footed or with simple flip flops and shoes, the rich on the other hand some times have quality boots.
