ok, so I was born with a birth defect which resulted in amputation of my hand. . .and it's affected me alot, badly. . .Is it still possible to be considered "sexy" even though I'm not whole anymore? I feel like I am considered "wierd" now to guys. Do I have to lower my standards because I don't have as much potential anymore??

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

No.  Please don't decrease your self esteem, and please don't lower your expectations (or standards) !.  A hand amputation doesn't mean you are less sexy.  A sensitive guy will love you for what you are (both inner beauty and outer beauty) and you'll be the sexyest woman in his eyes.  A very good friend of mine was born with a Polio (hope I spell it properly)... It's almost impossible to describe how limitted she is.  She met this GR8 guy (100% healthy) and they made a perfect loving family (+ 2 adorable children).  I wish you to find exactly such a guy and build a similar happy / healthy family.
Best regards,

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind....

Listen, you can be a wonderful, sexy, whole, kind, and amazing person without your hand.  I have a friend who is beautiful and many guys like her.  She has been dating a guy who has only one hand for 2 years, and they are very happy.  The hand doesn't bother her... it just makes him more interesting and she loves him for who he is.  I know that if you go about your life, being a good person, and liking whoever you want to like with confidence, you will find a great guy.  Don't worry about what other people think.  Focus on all your great qualities, and that's what others will focus on too

Smile

Sexy has nothing to do with being whole. It looks like  you are new to this from your question it seems  you haven't  experienced a lot .  First I might be a bit harsh on you but at the end you'll understand. So just for you to know you are not the first amputee in the world, I think you need to might  some handicapped people to understand what a great life some of them are having. A lot of handicapped people maintain healthy , sexy relationships with other handicapped people and "Whole" people like you described it. You are sexy and special in your own kind of way ! It is true a lot of people are afraid of the abnormal and tend to take some distance when they meet a special person. Treating your situation with humor will always help even when meeting a new person,   don't ever think you are less then anyone else there  are  people out there that will find you sexy I am sure of that. Being sexy to me is a combination of body language , verbal language and the eyes....

Good Luck.

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Even if you consider it weird(I don't),weird is HOT.It's a testament to your hidden reservoirs of strength that you went through what you did.I would show that shit off if I were you.People would be compaining and I'll be like ''Oh yeah did you lose a hand?Didn't think so!Shut up!".And I would make up a ton of stories about how I lost it.Eaten by a shark, severed while struggling with a serial killer (who you beat the crap out of) you get the drift. The point is,own it.Just because you lost a body part doesn't mean you aren't whole.

Of course there are small-minded people in the world who are prejudiced against folks with physical differences and disabilities, but the universe contains plenty of men who would not let that get in the way of a good relationship.  In fact, there are men and women who find amputees particularly attractive and most definitely sexy.

I can't tell you how to feel, but please be assured that lots of men would not be bothered at all, and who would not think that you were less beautiful or less sexy because of your hand.

I wish you the best of luck in your search for a great guy.
