if i have been on birth controll for over a week (yaz- the pill) and had unprotected sex and he ejaculated inside of my vagina... how likely is it that im pregnant eventhough im on birth controll and how long should i wait to take a prgnancy test?
I am taking Yaz as well. It is really unlikely that you're pregnant, however not impossible. If this is the first BC you have taken, chances are you will have your period (break through bleeding) before you get to the placebo pills (different colored sugar pills). Don't worry about it but you can take a pregnacy test when you finish your pill pack if you don't have your period. And honestly, I don't worry about becoming pregnant. I have been taking Yaz for almost a year now and have unprotected sex and nothing has happened. Just make sure you take them at the same time everyday...so you don't become pregnant and keep your period more regular.
Doctors ususally recommend taking a pregnancy test a week or two after a missed period. I'm not sure of the probability of you being pregnant, but I have gotten pregnant while taking the pill. I had benn on the pill for about a month consntantly and still mamged to get pregnant. I'm not saying that will be the case for you because you're taking a Yaz (I took ortho) and because everyone's body is differnt. I wouldn't panic, but I wold recommend you take a pregnancy test in a few weeks. I hope everything works out.

Having taken the pill means that you are protected but again pills are not the same. But hey i think you safe. But try to get him to use a condom next time.

The birth control pill is not effective in just one week. Unprotected sex should never be an option even if one is protected from pregnancy. You are still able to contract a host of diseases, some incurable.
