Does anyone know where I can get a free, hopefully, manual for vintage treadle Montgomery Ward sewing machine, serial number 1251224? Also, I cannot get it to pick up thread from the bobbin. Advice, please......... Thanks in advance.

regarding the thread on your machine. The bobbin may be in upside down. another thing to try is to use your vacuum cleaner hose to suck out all the lint and dust from under the machine. Make sure that you have at least 4" of thread coming out of the needle and the bobbin, open the thread plate, slowly turn the wheel and watch how the upper thread goes down and out. there may be lint under the hole where the needle goes in.
Don't know of any free treadle machines.
