If you have friends, relatives, associates, groups, or causes you'd like to stay in touch with/informed about, Facebook is a good option. Each time you log in, you get a briefing of what's going on recently with your friends, relatives, etc. You can also post pictures or movies of interest to them (and vice versa). You only select people that you really know to be friends, not some pervert you don't know. As for me, I'm glad I joined.
