Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt ...

I tend to agree with those who believe big sites have a competitive advantage over smaller ones as they have a lot of potential to accumulate more links, provided they have good content. However you will hear others say just the opposite. Of course quality is THE factor when it comes to our content - you need to know that more that 80% of people surf the web searching for information so if you've got what they are looking for you're in business :)

Large sites do have an advantage, but large is a relative amount. The ability to target descriptive (longtail) terms on inner pages is a help, but more importantly focus on providing the end user quality content. Then regardless of the size, your site you will attract inbound links from other trusted websites which in time will result in favorable search engine positioning .

I have to say a site that has unique and quality content with many inbound links perform the best.

it doesnt neccessary if you have long site content but they are not intresting enough and very entertaining to read, few people will appreciate your page or website. Quality is always better than quantity. it would be a lot easier to do seo services on sites that have great quality.

I would say quality is more important then quantity. But it still comes down to how well you do your keywords and backlinks etc...  We would be more then glad to help you and answer any questions you might have. Feel free to contact us.
Thank You....
