I'm working on a Mac and would like to get a reading receipt as a confirmation when the receiver got my email letter. This will serve me as a proof that my letter was opened and (hopefully) read.
damn. i was sure at least some of them do, from what i saw on the web anyway.
i was looking for more services, like boaz mentioned, but so far, all are for windows only for some stupid reason.
well, it takes a bit of work, but i believe u might be able to add this option to mail app using these guides:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050512155856402
http://email.about.com/od/macosxmailtips/qt/et_request_recp.htm
hope some better mac person can help u if all fails.
With important e-mail I use a service called "Registered E-mail" by a company called RPost. They say it gives proof of sending, delivery and content without them storing my message and without the receiver having to click on any links or add passwords or accounts.
www.rpost.com
I use it for late invoices and I usually get a fast response from the receiver.
Thanks a lot for our dedicated members who always find new way to assist a friend. However, I looked for a free service for Mac user and found it already via Jack of all Trades respond at About site:
It is used successfuly for a period of time however, with Mac recipiants it doesn't work.
Nevermind them.
