I saw this on an old flipper movie

I saw this on an old flipper movie, "The New Adventures of Flipper" where Bud was on an island with Flipper and some ladies were stranded and bud was helping them. He taught the youngest girl how to weave a fish trap basket using Palmetto leaves. It was really great! You could see into the trap because the way it was woven there were large holes. It was very sturdy and very strong. It was somewhat heart shaped and where the two curved top parts of the heart came together was the entrance for the fish. They couldn't get out because of the wall constructions. On the top of the trap was a door that allowed access to your catch. Does anyone know where I can find information on how to do this sort of weaving with Palmetto? J Laughing

Music is forever.

I am guessing you can go to a craft store and ask a profesional there. Good luck!

Very, Very good! I never thought of that! Google was useless but a craft center just might be the ticket! You are a blessing! Thank you so much! If this does not pan out I will not remove the Question but if it does I will end it. Did you see that Flipper? You know what I’m talking about don’t you?

Again!

Thank you so much!
