Have you ever made sausages at home ?

I was in a restaurant who served home made sausages , they were fantastic !
I am thinking of making some myself but I am under the impression that it is a lot of work, is it ?

You have no idea how much fuss it is.

I did it without the " push stuffer" and it took me hours , but it was delicious . I guess that if you do it like they explain in this site it would be alright , any other way would be a waste of time.

They can be a lot of work.  Unless you have to right tools (especially the "stuffer" machine - one that extrudes the sausage filling out a tube that you slip the casings over...) I imagine it would be a nightmare.  If you aren't willing to dish out the cash for the equipment, you can still make sausage.  Just make sausage patties instead of sausage links.  It's not quite the same, but a lot simpler.  Grind the meat and add seasonings, etc.  Then just shape into small patties.  I know it's not exactly the same, but its a much easier task, and pretty darn tasty too.
