How to satisfy chocolate cravings

I get these really intense chocolate cravings every month before my period. I always overdo it and find myself "overdosing" on chocolate. Are there ways to satisfy my intense cravings that aren't so bad on the waistline?

A healthy alternative is carob. It tastes like chocolate and is healthier for you.

Best wishes.

Sometimes using a very high quality chocolate allows you to satisfy your craving  with a smaller amount. Try dark chocolate as well- it's stronger. Also look into some recipes that are healthy versions of chocolate. Try making your own hot cocoa with real cocoa and sugar or sugar substitute. At least you'll be drinking a healthy glass of milk!

I like to keep fat-free chocolate pudding around for those times..usually don't feel like over-dosing on it but it does hit the spot in a lower calorie way..
