I am having problems getting video files to open ...

I am having problems getting video files to open on my U700. I have tried to use the Samsung software and other software to reduce the file resolution to 240x320 and also tried 178x144 but it thinks that the resolution is wrong and also sometimes an invalid file type! Does anyone know how I can fix this problem???

Have you tried other files as well? Assuming the video does play on your computer, it may be encoded, such that the U700 is not familiar with. Which file type is it?

Yes granted some video file will not open because of the way they are encoded but some video file will and they seam to be working at the lower res of 176x144 but still will not open at the full screen res of 240x320.

Can this phone use the full screen at all or is this just a silly thing that cant be done.

Unfortunately no. This is one of the major disadvantages of this phone. Together with the old QCIF format, it makes the video feature not very useful.
