I wondered if the author of this commentary understands that although his intention may have not been to discriminate, by supporting Propostition 8 that is exactly what he did. One cannot be in support of traditional marriage and at the same time NOT discriminate against gays and lesbians. They are mutually exclusive. You either are one or the other. Additionally, tradition alone does not make a compelling reason to discriminate forever. It may have been acceptable in the past but it is no longer acceptable to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. I also find it offensive that some people support 'some' rights for gays and lesbians but not all. I'm sorry but that isn't good enough. We are going for FULL equality, enough of this partial equality bullshit.
